Conferre in Latin means “to confer” or “to bring together”. The goal of the magazine is to bring together men and women from around the world who are seeking innovative solutions to a wide variety of social and economic problems. In other words, these are really cool people that I know will inspire you.
This issue’s focus on food makes me think of the word “disconnect”– where food is so central to our life and health, yet it isn’t always acknowledged as such. In this issue of Conferre magazine, we’re learning from people and organizations who are connected to their food. From food producers like Red Fire Farm that delivers our CSA share to consumers like Dan Archibald to larger organizations such as Stone Barns that working to educates people about their food source.
